Slip into something comfortable and step into The Lounge at Velvet Fox — our mid-century-modern cocktail haven tucked inside Appleton’s historic VFW building. The vibe? Swanky, a little mysterious, and endlessly welcoming — the perfect end to a long week.
When to visit
Fridays & Saturdays: Open 6 PM to Midnight
Thursdays: 6 PM – 8 PM (Fiber Art Group 6-8)
Tues–Thurs: Tardigrade’s guests are welcome to enjoy our lounge seating anytime our double doors are open.

Reserve a Conversation Pod in the Cocktail Lounge
Reserve a space in our beautiful, cozy lounge for 10 or 20 (approximately 1/4 or 1/2 of the hall) and get the VIP treatment. You and your guests are welcome to carry in food or snacks, order charcuterie from us, or let us know how we can make your night out even better.

Guests are welcome to order from either side of the building — Here in the Velvet Fox Cocktail Lounge or our neighbors at Tardigrade’s Bookshelf — and sit wherever the mood takes you. We share the space, the vibe, and the good company.
Of course, if you see our double doors open, you are always welcome to bring your Tardigrade purchase to our lounge, even if our bar isn’t open.
